The room I stayed in was perfectly clean and budget-friendly with a TV and balcony. Good value for money. - the hotel's location is great, just a 10-15 minute walk from Cairns Esplanade Lagoon.

The rooms here are really comfy and just the perfect size. You'll love the spot where this place is located, it's super convenient being so close to the Botanic Gardens, restaurants, shops, and even the airport. the staff is really friendly and they take care of parking here too! 🌿

The excellent location and the friendliness of the staff

Everything is nice here, had a very good stay which was the purpose of my visit. The location is perfect, at a moderate distance from The Cairns Museum. It has a very nice attached restaurant which serves great food.

Discovery Cairns is located close enough to the center of Cairns to be easy to have dinner into town, and far enough from the same to not be disturbed by the youths in the town center. The hotel also boasts its own restaurant (the Rimini) of decent quality, a great bar, and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Overall, good value for the money and an excellent stay for the Great Barrier Reef.

Discovery Cairns was overall clean, but ants and other critters were not uncommon inside the room. Another negative was the high price of Internet; while of decent speed and easy to set up, paying ~4 euros/5 AUS$ per hour is a bit extreme.

This place is really affordable and super cozy, can't beat it. It's a great spot to stay and explore around here! 🌟

Would have preferred a means to heat and eat food. No plates or cutlery provided.

Small hotel but clean. Price very good - facilities are ok, clean, etc. You get very good value for money. 10 mins walk to center. Friendly staff.

The restaurant next to it tries to be posh and so are the prices.

This place offers great value with wonderful staff who happily provided a microwave and crockery upon our request.

reasonably priced hotel with excellent personnel with three receptionists allofwhom were very helpful. quiet atmosphere, excellent restaurant which serves great food. ideal place for exploring cairns.

Beds were too soft.

A double room here comes at a great price and offers all the essential amenities you need. 👍

I liked the fact that it was a short walk to the esplanade, and transport was very easy to get when on tours etc. It was also good to have 2 swimming pools at the motel.

The only thing I could say I didn't like about the motel was the matress had springs poking out of it so it was uncomfortable to sleep
